The best thing a child can do with a toy is break it! (Arvind Gupta teaching science through building toys)

I take a deep deep bow for Arvind Gupta, and we all should. Right now.

Arvind Gupta is a Indian science teacher, traveling primary schools in India. He strongly states that all children have a right to a scientific education. And that poverty or lack of materials can never be an excuse not to teach and learn together. The amazing toys he makes with the children are both simple and enchanting at the same time. Watch his presentation and learn to make structures, pumps, wistles, little motors, fans, folding hats, funny dolls and more, all in 15 minutes.

You are only limited by your own imagination!

TED.com: ‘At the INK Conference, Arvind Gupta shares simple yet stunning plans for turning trash into seriously entertaining, well-designed toys that kids can build themselves — while learning basic principles of science and design.’
